Chelsea secured first January signing, transfer fee accepted & medical scheduled, Wenger to lose out

Chelsea are keeping tabs on Monaco winger Bernardo Silva, according to ITA Sport Press. Silva is one of the most exciting attacking prospects in European football and has attracted attentions from a host of clubs.

Several clubs like Barcelona and Arsenal are interested in the services of the Portugal international, but it seems like the Blues have stolen the march on the player. According to the report, a transfer fee of €20 million will be enough for the Blues to secure the services of the 21-year old.

Silva moved to Ligue 1 club from Benfica in January for a transfer fee of €15.75 million. He has scored three goals in 17 appearances for his club this season.

He can operate on the wings, as well as an attacking midfielder, and his versatility could prove quite beneficial for the Blues’ struggling midfield this season.
