Despite being linked to Paul Pogba, Chelsea are apparently in talks with Arda Turan. The 28 year old Turkish international currently plies his trade with Atletico Madrid. He joined the Spanish club in 2011 from Galatasaray and has been a focal point for the team. His stats state that he has appeared 178 times for the club, scoring 22 goals and assisting in 32.
It seems that Arda Turan is looking to leave Spain, and his agent confirmed this in an interview with AS. Speaking to the newspaper, Ahmet Bulut was quoted as saying that “His intention is to leave Spain this summer”. Speaking further, he said “His will is to leave and to play in the Premier League that is the path he would like to take to continue his career. We are currently in talks with three teams but I cannot reveal the names of the clubs. However, I can tell you that they are the best in England and in European football.”
With this, we can infer that Arda Turan will definitely depart Spain for England and he will be signing for one of the big teams in England, which might be Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City or Arsenal. Reports figure that Chelsea will be his destination as they are the “best team presently” in England. All we can say is the coming days will reveal which club he will sign for
