Chelsea Set To COMPLETE Transfer Of £85,000-A-Week Champions League Winner
Reports making the rounds in London and Turkey are suggesting that 28-year-old Nigeria international, John Mikel Obi, is on the verge of departing London for Turkey as the Turkish giant have made enquiries about the availability of the player.
From the inception of the summer, Besiktas had pin-pointed Liverpool’s ace midfielder, Lucas Leiva as their target but they gave up on his chase when the aforementioned player was handed a start in the Kop’s league game against Arsenal last Monday
The reports claimed that the Turkish giants had to turn their attention to London in a bid to securing the services of Mike – their interest is on the back drop of Mikel’s experience with the blues. He joined the Blues in 2006 and has a massive 224 caps with the Premier League holders.
The midfielder has fallen down the pecking order of selection for the Blues no doubt as evidenced this season when Zouma, a natural centre back, was giving the nod to play as a defensive midfielder after Matic. This season, the 28-year-old Nigeria only featured as a substitute in Chelsea’s win against West Brom last weekend.
Meanwhile, it is reported that Chelsea are preparing a bid for Juventus’ ace midfielder Paul Pogba which further cast doubt on Mikel’s future with the Blues – the blues are looking to recoup the money they will spend for Pogba
