Shocking reports have emerged that Chelsea are reportedly in contact with Alex song over a potential switch to Stamford Bridge. The 27-year-old spent last season on loan at West Ham and has seemingly impressed Stamford Bridge boss Jose Mourinho.
Reports claim that the Blues are keen to complete a £6million move for Song, who has two years remaining on his deal with Barca. The Cameroon international has also been linked with a move to Liverpool and a return to Arsenal, where he spent six years from 2006.
Mourinho has previously revealed his intention to sign a midfielder in the summer window, with a defender and a striker also on his wish list. Song had a good first half to his season but, like West Ham, fell apart in the second half. However, the indications given were that Jose Mourinho had seen enough during that first half of the season to suggest that Song could be a welcome addition to the squad.
As for a price, the figure of £6 million was mentioned in the speculation which, to me, suggests it could be a reasonable deal.
