Chelsea Tables OFFICIAL Bid £20m Rated La Liga Attacker – Is It Griezmann? Find Out
Real Madrid have reportedly rejected Chelsea’s bid of £20 million for the transfer of Spain midfielder, Isco. According to the Daily Mirror, Madrid rejected the offer because they do not want to sell the playmaker who has also been rumoured to be on Arsenal’s radar.
Isco, 23, struggled for play time last season but was able to get game time at some point due to Luka Modric’s injury. New Madrid coach, Rafa Benitez, however sees Isco as part of his plans next season.
Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho may succumb to selling Oscar to Juventus, whose coach, Allegri is really keen on. The Blues, therefore see Isco as a perfect replacement for the Brazilian.
Although “Juventus are offering only £12 million for Oscar which would also be after a one-year loan spell with a fixed option to buy”, but the fee is not even close to the Blues valuation (Mirror).
The Premier League giants may increase their bid for Isco if they let Oscar join Juventus…but for the right price.
Isco – whose full name is Francisco Alarcon Roman Suarez – joined Real Madrid in a £23 million deal from Malaga two years ago. The fleet-flooted Spanish star is said to be happy at the Bernabeu despite the speculation.
“I am happy with my role in the team and I have played more than I thought, I insist”.
Regardless of the fee, nonetheless, Madrid do not want to see Isco to a European competitor. The former Malaga attacking midfield sensation has won the Champions League, Super Cup, Copa Del Rey and FIFA Club World Cup since joining Los Blancos.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are set to be in the hunt for another La Liga star, Antoine Griezmann. With Atletico recent confirmation of the signing of Vietto from Villareal, Griezmann is likely to leave the Vicente Calderon this summer.
