Chelsea to get rid of Diego Costa, will sign former Barcelona star and Adebayor in January

Chelsea and Liverpool have suffered setbacks in their pursuit of Stoke City star Bojan Krkic after the striker claimed that he is happy with the Potters at the moment. The former Barcelona star has impressed since moving to Stoke City last season and has attracted attention from a number of English clubs.

But he has played down rumours and has claimed that he is happy playing for Mark Hughes’ side. “Speculation won’t affect me. It’s one thing I can’t do anything about,” he said.

“The only thing I can do is give 100 percent now in the moment and try to improve every day in training and to help my teammates and Stoke City win games. That’s all I focus on. If I am ever (linked with big clubs) hopefully it is a sign that I am doing good work. I am happy, I feel good and for me that’s the most important thing at the moment: to have good feelings in training, on the pitch when I play and to have a gaffer who puts his trust in me.”

“I have to carry on and give more.” The 25-year-old also revealed that he is made aware of any transfer story linking him with a move away by the Stoke fans on the social media.

He said: “I know, I know … but they know this is football and they know you can do nothing about stories appearing in newspapers. The only thing I can do now I’m a Stoke player is give 100 per cent. I want to live in the moment and I am very happy. The fans love me? Well, I love them too, of course.”

Meanwhile, according to the Mirror, Chelsea are in talks with free agent Emmanuel Adebayor.

The Togo international was released by Tottenham earlier this season, but the London club continues to pay his wages.

According to the report, Chelsea representatives have already spoken with the 31-year-old regarding a short-term deal until the end of the season.

The Blues plan to offload Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy in January transfer window and have identified Adebayor as a short-term option to provide backup to Diego Costa.
