Chelsea to Hijack Arsenal’s Bid for Player of the Month of December? Player Prefers Transfer to Man Utd
Chelsea have joined the likes fellow Premier League clubs Arsenal and Man Utd in the pursuit of Watford striker Odion Ighalo.
Daily Mirror claims that the Blues are keeping tabs on the Nigerian international and are planning a summer move for the striker.
The 26-year old has been in red hot form this season and has scored 13 goals in 23 appearances for the Hornets. He was also the leading scorer of the calendar year 2015 with 30 goals among all levels of the English league system.
He recently won the Premier League month of the award for the month of December. He signed a five-year extension with the Hornets in September, but accepted that he wouldn’t turn down a chance to play for a major club.
Ighalo has also attracted interests from Atletico Madrid and AS Roma. When asked about a potential move to Man Utd he said that playing for the Red Devils would be a dream come true for him.
“There has been speculation from Spain and Italy but I’ve played there and now want to play in England,” he told The Sun.
