Chelsea To Solve Defensive Crisis By Signing £250,000-A-Week Powerful CB

According to the Telegraph, Chelsea are very close to completing the signing of PSG centre-back Marquinhos in January, as the Blues are still keen on getting a defender to solve their defensive errors and lapses.

The Blues lost another game yesterday to West Ham in their English Premier League match and everyone at Stamford Bridge including Chelsea fans already know that the team needs to do something about their defence.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho may have known this would happen and their lack of quality might cost them in a huge way as they were very active during the summer transfer window of 2015 in search of a top defender including Everton’s John Stones and Marquinhos but was rejected by both Everton and PSG.

The Blues might however go back in January to ensure they sign PSG’s young centre-back, Marquinhos as this might be an easier option for Chelsea.

The £250,000 a week international star is reportedly frustrated at PSG as he is not used much with the defender playing behind Thiago Silva and David Luiz in the team’s rotation.

It’s believed that Chelsea will lure the player away with an option of more playing time to sweeten the deal and make it easy for them to finalize the deal at the very first stages of the January transfer window.

Chelsea fans will hope this works out but until then,  Mourinho has much to do to solve this defensive lapses.
