Chelsea will bring this €40m striker in winter, player confirms his dream is finally coming true

Shakhtar Donetsk manager Mircea Lucescu has slapped a price tag of €40m on Chelsea target Alex Teixeira. The Blues will be looking to add some firepower to their team as the likes of Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas have failed to impress this season.

“Alex is now worth more than €40m,” Shakhtar boss Lucescu was quoted as saying by Tutto Mercato Web. “I think at the end of the season, if he will continue playing with this level of performance – his value will be €50m. If he was playing in a more competitive league, the transfer would be at the same level as that of Di Maria.”

The Brazilian has been a long-term target of the London club and the player has previously confirmed the club’s interest in his service.
