Chelsea’s Predicted Line up vs. Everton – Hazard Back, Matic in Starting XI

Chelsea will host Everton at Stamford Bridge. Both teams come off on the back of draws in their last games. However, both results must have had contrasting impacts on the dressings rooms of both teams.

Chelsea conceded a late equalizer to West Brom at home, and it must have felt like two points dropped to them. Everton, on the contrary, managed to get a draw on their trip to Man City.

Injuries:

Chelsea will most probably welcome back Eden Hazard from injury. However, Radamel Falcao is still recovering from his injury.

Predicted Line Up [4-3-2-1]

Goalkeeper:

Even though Thibaut Courtois conceded two goals in the last league game, he still is the undisputed one number goalkeeper at Stamford Bridge.

Defence:

Gary Cahill made his way back to the bench from injury in the last game. He is expected to replace Kurt Zouma in the centre of defence and will partner with John Terry.

Cesar Azpilicueta scored a goal in the draw vs. West Brom and will start against Everton too. Likewise, Branislav Ivanovic will occupy the second full-back spot.

Midfield:

John Obi Mikel has been Guus Hiddink’s preferred choice in the midfield. However, the Dutchman might prefer to start Nemanja Matic in this game.

Cesc Fabregas will accompany him in midfield. Brazilian playmaker Oscar will once again handle the creative responsibilities and will get the nod at number ten position.

Forward:

Pedro has been disappointing since his move to Premier League. He was substituted at half-time in the draw with West Brom. If Eden Hazard passes the fitness test, he will get the nod ahead of Pedro.

Willian has been the most consistent performer for Chelsea this season, and he will start on the opposite flank. Despite his burst out following the West Brom game, Diego Costa will return to lead the Chelsea lines.

Predicted line-up: Courtois; Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Azpilicueta; Matic, Cesc; Hazard, Oscar, Willian; Costa.
