Club Officially Confirms Transfer on Twitter Account, Player to be Presented to Media

After Leicester completed signing of Demarai Gray for £3.5 million, it is already evident the January transfer window is truly opened and more money is set to spent as Arsenal are already closing in on Mohamed Elneny from Basel. The Swiss club, FC Basel points out that the midfielder could complete a move to the Emirates “in coming days”.

According to the ESPN FC, Basel recommended training this week after the Swiss league’s winter break, and the club statement pointed out that Egypt international was not among the players who resumed for the sessions.

It is also reported that Arsenal are currently waiting for a work permit to be contracted to the Egyptian. Without naming any club, a club statement also indicated that there is a possible move for Elneny in the coming days.
