Lavezzi Moving from PSG to Italy

Club representatives negotiating deals for two world class strikers in France and Spain, signature will be announced in days

Arsenal have faced disappointment in their attempts to sign PSG forward Ezequiel Lavezzi. Spanish source Fichajes reports that the Gunners’ approach for the Argentina international has been turned down by the player’s representatives.

The 30-year old has lost his place in the starting eleven of the Paris club following the arrival of compatriot Angel Di Maria in summer. He has started only three league games for PSG this season and is looking for a move away from the club. His current contract will run out this June.

According to the report, Arsenal and Liverpool were both interested in his service, but the player is interested in a move back to Serie A. Reportedly, player’s agent is already in Rome discussing a future move with some Italian clubs.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s pursuit of Celta Vigo striker Nolito has hit a hurdle after the player suffered an injury in his side’s 1-0 La Liga win over Espanyol on the weekend.

The £14.6m rated forward was a target for both Arsenal and Barcelona, but according to the Express, any possible deal in near future looks doubtful due to the latest development.
