Club to announce first January signing as 37 goals striker agrees to join
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger may be getting ready to announce his first January signing as he is reportedly keen on adding Palmeiras star Gabriel Jesus to the squad at the Emirates in the January transfer window according to reports from the Metro. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was the only manager in Europe who did not sign any outfield player in the summer transfer window except former Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech.
Gabriel Jesus may however be the first player to join Arsenal in the January transfer window. The 18-year-old striker could be very beneficial to the club if he is signed in January and it is believed that this is very possible as reports are claiming that Emirates club officials were sent to begin talks with the player over his potential transfer in January.
According to reports from CalcioMercato24, the striker has impressed the Gunners with his performances which they sorely need at the moment. The striker scored 37 goals from 22 appearances for the Palmeiras youth squad last season and this kind of conversion rate is something that the Arsenal squad really needs in their striker.
Gabriel may be a fantastic revelation for the Gunners as he could grow to be the best striker the club has had in years. It remains to be seen if the player will be ready to make the switch and if he can become a first team player quickly.
