Confirmed – Chelsea COMPLETES Transfer Of 22 Year Old CB, Terry Long Term Replacement

Tomas Kalas has joined Middlesbrough on loan for the Forth coming Season as confirmed by Chelsea. Kalas who has been capped once by Czech Republic, spent part of last season on loan at the Riverside and made 17 appearances for the Club.

The Versatile Defender who can play at Right Back or Centre Half has only played four times for Chelsea. (bbc.com)

At the start of the 2014/2015 Season, Kalas went on loan to Bundesliga side Cologne before he joined Boro in January. He was given permission to join Middlesbrough on their Pre-Season training trip to Marbella, where he was able to put pen to paper. (skysports.com)

He said, “ I’d already decided that if Chelsea would like to get me on loan again for  another  Season, Middlesbrough would be my first choice.

Last Season ended on a disappointing note because they lost out in the Play-offs, it also ended in fraustration for Kalas because he was reduced to role of a spectator because his loan spell had ended before the Play-offs. (mfc.co.uk)
