Youngster to Join Liverpool

Confirmed! Hotly-Tipped Youngster To Agree Deal To Join Liverpool This Week

As per the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool teenage prospect Ryan Kent will get the chance to impress the Reds’ new boss Jürgen Klopp when he returns to Melwood this week.

The hotly-tipped winger has impressed on loan at League One outfit Coventry but has not been granted permission to play in the FA Cup at the weekend, the report claims.

Therefore, Kent will be back at Merseyside to be put through his paces by Liverpool’s coaching staff. The youngster got the news of his temporary recall to Liverpool on the day he got his first goal for Coventry – a brilliant solo effort opener in last night’s 4-3 win over Barnsley.

That goal was similar to the one Kent also got against Everton at Goodison Park in April, part of a wonderful double which paved way for the Reds’ Under-21 to secure a derby victory over the Toffees.

With Klopp a lover of youth, Kent could get his chance in Liverpool’s first team at the end of his loan spell at the League One side. The likes of Raheem Sterling [now at Manchester City], Jordan Ibe, Connor Randall and Joao Teixeira all progressed through the youth ranks – with the last two being recently handed more game times by the German boss.

Hence, Kent, 18 – should he perform admirably – could also rise to stardom under the stewardship of Klopp, who took over from Brendan Rodgers after the Northern Irishman was sacked from his post on the back of a 1-1 draw with Everton in October.
