Confirmed – Manchester United To FINALLY Announce Winger’s Signing, All Done & Dusted

Manchester United have been linked with Benfica winger Nicolas Gaitan for what seems forever. Not a single transfer window has passed since 2012 without speculation linking the Argentinean International with a move to Old Trafford.

However, the end of this protracted transfer saga may soon be in sight if reports in the English press are to be believed claiming that the 27-year-old has agreed a deal with the Red Devils. According to the player’s agent, the long-term target for Manchester United is on the verge of signing for them , as a deal is close to being finalized.

Gaitan’s agent Jose Irribaren’s words are sure to fuel the speculation that this might finally be the summer when United supporters get to see Gaitan as part of their team. Irrabaren stated :

“Everything is possible, there is a deal with Manchester United.”

He further added : ‘The will of the player is that everything goes well.We are waiting for a response from the vice President, which is why I cannot say much more.”

The 5ft 8 pacy left-footed winger is an ideal fit for Manchester United , who have been home to some of the best wingers in the game in the form of Cristiano Ronaldo , David Beckham and Ryan Giggs among others. Gaitan would be joining an illustrious company if he does sign for United.

Gaitan signed for Benfica in 2010 as a replacement for Real Madrid bound Angel Di Maria, and should a move to United go through, he would be joining his international team-mate. United fans will be hoping that the star Argentine pairing can fire them to the Premier League title next season.
