It is no longer news that France and former Southampton midfielder, Morgan Schneiderlin has recently joined Manchester United.
After months of negotiations, the player, according to official reports recently signed a contract which would see him earn around £100,000 per week at the Old Trafford. One key factor which eventually made the deal go through, is United defender and former Southampton man, Luke Shaw.
Early reports indicated that the player’s move was stalling at some point, and that Arsenal Wenger was looking to capitalize on the situation. However, turning point as per the Daily Star was when 20 year-old Shaw allegedly spoke with Schneiderlin personally, convincing him to make the move to United. It is believed that the player had secondary concerns over wages and playing time: but after meeting with United manager Louis van Gaal, he seemed to have it all settled.
Shaw, who had a not-so-impressive debut season with United last term, would be looking to shake off the effects of injury and cement his place in the United squad; and has also backed Schneiderlin to do same.
