West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has rejected reports that the Hammers are interested in signing Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge.
A couple of days ago, Brentwood Gazette reported that the London club have approached the Reds for a possible transfer move for their Sturridge and are ready to offer £18million for the services of the 26-year old.
“That is only a rumour, and there is nothing behind it,” said Bilic when asked about the forward.
“I am not talking about who we want – Daniel Sturridge is a big player and a big name – but that is only paper talk.”
This season, he has managed only five league appearances, and there have been suggestions that manager Jurgen Klopp might look to cash in on the striker if his injury problems don’t improve soon.
