Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is set to return to Emirates Stadium next season. The Polish international is currently on a season-long loan at Serie A club AS Roma, but latest reports suggest that Roma have decided against signing the 25-year old on a permanent deal.
Daily Mirror claims that Roma have identified their long-term goalkeeping solution in the form of Internacional’s Brazilian keeper Alisson.
The report states that a deal to bring Alisson to Stadio Olimpico was wrapped up last week and the player will join the club in the summer.
Szczesny, meanwhile, will return to Emirates Stadium. Arsene Wenger will then have to make a decision regarding the player’s future.
The Gunners signed Petr Cech form Chelsea last season, and based on his performances his number-one spot looks untouchable at the moment.
