Deal done? Jose Mourinho has reportedly signed a contract with Man Utd until 2019
German media are reporting today that Jose Mourinho has agreed terms and signed a contract which will keep him at Old Trafford until 2019, although the club has neither confirmed nor denied these reports.
The Special One, Jose Mourinho, is seen by many Manchester united fans as the ideal successor to Louis Van Gaal and someone who can bring about an end to their unproductive, trophy-less spell. Mourinho does have a habit of winning trophies and has won in the 3 main leagues of Europe with Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Chelsea.
He also has success in Europe which is something United fans will be happy to see, given the fact they got dumped out of Europe twice this season.
Former Manchester United striker Diego Forlan recently spoke of his admiration for Mourinho and how he thinks that Mourinho would do great things at United. Many United fans have been very vocal about their hatred of Van Gaal and they have spoken about wanting Van Gaal’s current assistant, Ryan Giggs, to take over as manager but it is not known whether he would take the role if it was offered.
German newspaper, Bild, revealed that after months of intense speculation, a deal has finally been agreed for Jose Mourinho to take over at the end of this season. Nothing has been mentioned of how much money Mourinho will have to play with, or on any other contractual details such as salary.
