Jose Mourinho is the new Manchester United manager, according to reports from Sky Sports Italy. Although the deal is not official, reports from the Italian news network state that “Jose Mourinho will be the next manager of Manchester United… At the moment, the agreement is not official, but it would seem only a matter of hours.”
Mourinho has been linked to Manchester United since he was fired from Chelsea back in December. He will be succeeding Dutchman Louis van Gaal as The Red Devil’s manager, according to reports. Van Gaal is confident he will retain his position if he wins the FA Cup and finishing in the top four of the Premier League table.
However, the latter seems very unlike, specially after losing their match against West Ham United 3-2 last weekend.
The special One has been itching to go back to managing, and he is very fond of the Premier League, making United his best option. There have been many rumors about his appointment but it seems this time it’s a done deal.
When asked about his managing future earlier this week, Mourinho assured he would be back to managing in July. Mourinho said: “Of course I miss it,” he said. “But in July I will be back. So we are in May and May to July is nothing… I keep enjoying my life which I’m doing, keep enjoying my family. But in July I am back. June 30 (to sign a contract) – that’s fine.”
