Desperate Measure – Abramovich Sanctions €67m January Signing To Redeem Chelsea

In a bid to save their calamitous season, reports have emerged that Roman Abramovich has sanctioned a deal for Mourinho’s favourite youngster striker target Valencia’s Paco Alcacer, as per the Sun.

Valencia were in action this weekend against Malaga and the scouts of Chelsea were spotted at the stands monitoring the sensational Spaniard. He’s featured four times for the Los Che this season but has scored one.

With the reports of Falcao’s departure looming in the media, Chelsea are looking to replace the misfiring Columbian in January. Falcao moved from Manchester United to Chelsea on a season long loan deal but has been dismal in his performance.

The young Spaniard is looked at by Mourinho as a replacement for Falcao but he’s been tipped to as a part of the future for Chelsea. While playing for the Spanish national team, Alcacer has scored six goals in 10 games since making his debut in 2014.

According to the Metro, the forward has been valued at €67 million by Valencia and would not allow one of the most priced possessions to leave on a cheap.

It is left to be seen if the Blues can sign the revelation before other clubs enter the race as he has been coveted by other clubs too.
