Did Falcao Walk Out On Louis Van Gaal? The Truth Is Revealed

Colombian striker Radamel Falcao has denied speculations in the media and in the social media, accusing him of storming out of Old Trafford after last Sunday’s EPL match in which the Red Devils lost to Southampton. The on-loan striker was left out of the team by Dutchman Luis Van Gal, with reports in the social media suggesting he stormed out of the stadium right after the match.

According to Goal, the 28-year old AS Monaco striker, who is on a season-long loan at the English club, was spotted with Louis Van Gal. Goal revealed that Luis Restrepo, a Colombian journalist confirmed that the former Atletico Madrid striker was spotted with Van Gal after the match.

The controversy surrounding the striker’s reaction came as a result of a reported picture in the social media, which showed the Colombian dashing out of the stadium. However, Falcao has come out to dismiss the report through his own Twitter account.

Falcao went on Twitter to retweet a message credited to the Colombian journalist: “To clarify. Falcao was at Old Trafford on Sunday, a game that I attended. Also, he was seen with Van Gaal in the tunnel after the game.”

Falcao has not been able to replicate the same form that made him a thorn in the flesh of most defenders in Portugal and Spain. The striker has been plagued with injuries since signing a season-long loan deal with the Old Trafford outfit on the last day of the summer transfer window. He has so far scored three goals, which is a far cry from what we have always known him for in his previous clubs.

According to the Manchester Evening Standard, The Red Devils have an option to sign the 28-year old striker for £48 million once his current loan deal expires at the end of the season.

However, Falcao could lay stake to the starting line-up of his club this weekend due to the ankle injury sustained by Robin van Persie.
