Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has indicated that he won’t be returning to Stamford Bridge anytime soon. The Ivorian striker has been linked with a role in the Blues coaching staff recently.
However, the striker, who has a contract with MLS side Montreal Impact until the end of the season, has indicated that he plans to stay with his current club.
The MLS season starts in March, and it can be safely assumed that the Ivorian is preparing for the new season with his club.
Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink also confirmed, following the victory over Arsenal last night, that Drogba won’t be coming to Stamford Bridge anytime soon.
He said: ‘In the short term, no, but in the longer-term we talked about players with a big image for this club being welcome. There’s no time issue on this, so I wish him all the best now in one of his later seasons.’
