Manchester United is bound to make huge changes to its squad for next season, especially with Jose Mourinho looming over Louis van Gaal’s manager position. The Red Devils’ season has been a total disappointment to their fans, management, and to the team itself.
However, Manchester United is now looking to revamp all aspects of their team. From Mourinho’s imminent appointment as manager right down to the squad, The Red Devils are preparing to make a splash next season.
Man U is looking to sign French defender Raphael Varane from Real Madrid, as the 23-year-old has fallen down the pecking order under Zinedine Zidane. The Frenchman is said to be eager to move to Old Trafford, granted that Mourinho is appointed as the new manager. The deal is said to be agreed on, as Varane’s price tag has been set at £30 million to bring the superb defender to Old Trafford.
Another addition United is looking to make is 23-year-old Portuguese sensation Joao Mario. Mario is a premium midfielder who currently plays for Sporting CP. The Red Devils are more than happy to pay Mario’s £45 million release clause to sign the Portuguese international.
He has scored 7 goals and dished out 12 assists this season. The most impressive part? He has done it all playing as a central midfielder.
