Done Deal – Arsenal Agree Striker DEAL With European POWERHOUSE

Arsene Wenger has experienced his fair share of transfer market bloopers throughout a long and storied reign at Arsenal. For every gem Wenger uncovered in the market , there is an unmitigated disaster in his name. For players like Thierry Henry , Alexis Sanchez and Patrick Vieira, read the names of Francis Jeffers , Marouane Chamakh and Sebastien Squillaci.

The next name in the latter appears to be that of 22 year old striker Yaya Sanogo , who has been nothing short of a disaster since moving to the club in 2013 on a free transfer.

The Daily Express have now reported that the Gunners have agreed to send out the young striker on loan to Dutch giants Ajax. The Frenchman, who was expected to challenge for a first team role within a year of joining the club, is yet to score a goal in the Premier League, and has been nothing short of an awful mistake on the transfer front.

Having missed most of his debut season with an injury, Sanogo has never since recovered his confidence , and after returning to action has struggled badly. Interest from Ligue 1 side Lille had also been quoted in the player , but Ajax have finally come out on top.

Sanogo has failed to score in 11 Premier League appearances for Arsenal, and has just one goal in 20 competitive matches. After his struggles in the first half of last season, Arsenal sent him on loan to Crystal Palace with the hope that he could get some much needed playing time under his belt. However, his time at the Eagles was absolutely woeful to say the least. In 10 league appearances for Palace, the player failed to score in any of them and had just a solitary goal in the FA Cup to his name.

His struggles are summed up by the damning stat that he attempted just five shots for Crystal Palace in the league in 10 appearances, and not even one of them was on target.

According to the Express, the player is set to undergo a medical at Ajax imminently before finalizing a move. However, one thing is for sure- Gooners aren’t gonna miss him.
