DONE Deal – Arsenal Beats Manchester United To Midfielder Signing – Not Schneridelin

Every season, Arsenal sign a couple of promising young players to boost the rank of their academy, and this season has been no exception.

According to Foot Mercato, Nantes midfielder Amine Harit has decided to turn down an offer from Barcelona in order to sign for the Gunners. The 18-year old midfielder snubbed Spanish giant Barcelona and Manchester United in order to seal a deal with the Gunners.

Though, the player’s agent has confirmed that Harit will remain with the French side in the next three seasons, there are however, reports that the 18-year old would formalize the move in the next couple of days as he puts pen to paper on a deal, which will see him become an Arsenal player.

To those who are familiar with most Arsenal transfers, this looks like one of those deals that Arsene Wenger would get involved in. The Frenchman loves to do things secretly and away from the prying eyes of the media. Only recently, the club was said to have signed the captain of the Romanian Under-16 side, Vlad Dragomir from ACS Poli Timisoara, according to various sources on Twitter.

While fans and the press are busy looking for transfer rumours and stories linking the club with moves for established players, Wenger is somewhere in his office and room running the rule over some unknown players, who may or may not make the cut in a couple of years to come.

Mark that name, who knows if he is set to be the next Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.
