Done Deal – Arsenal COMPLETE Striker Transfer

Ajax have agreed a deal with Arsenal to sign striker Yaya Sanogo on loan. The 6ft 4 hit man has been out of favor at Arsenal and has struggled to make an impact since joining the club.

Sanogo, 22 was loaned to Crystal Place last season and he failed to impress, firing blanks and having only 5 shots on target. Shocking statistics for a player at a top level club like arsenal. The French U-21 international in a press conference during his unveiling talked about following the footsteps of former Ajax greats Kanu Nwankwo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic but it remains to be seen if he can transfer words into actions.

This transfer represents the perfect opportunity for the French U-21 international to play regularly, gain confidence, score a few goals and show part of the potential which convinced Arsene Wenger to splash out and bring him to the club from Auxerre.  Playing regularly in the Eridivise and champions league will help put him on the spotlight and I am sure Wenger will be watching the developments at the Amsterdam arena with keen interest.

In an Ajax squad that like to keep the ball and fashion out chances, Sanogo in an ideal world will surely score goals. He will also be under the watchful gaze of Ajax and Gunners great Dennis Berkamp and working with the Great Dane will surely improve Sanogo. The truth is the move to Ajax might be the last chance salon for Sanogo, he either works hard, plays well, score goals, forces himself into Wenger thinking and hopefully other watching managers too or not give his all and let his chance fizzle out. Then maybe he will offloaded, a move back to France then beckons.
