DONE DEAL – Arsenal Completes Signing Of BRILLIANTLY Gifted Midfielder, Will Play For First Team

Arsenal have finally completed the signing of promising forward Donyell Malen from Dutch outfit Ajax Amsterdam. Malen has agreed to join Arsenal after the Gunners reportedly sent scouts to watch the Dutch starlet in action last year. The player although 17 years, is very likely to play for Arsenal’s first team next season in the cup games.

It has now been reported that the young Dutchman has signed for the north London club, beating off competition from Barcelona and Manchester City, as per the Daily Star.

The Netherlands Under-17 international star will join Arsenal on a scholarship basis, with super agent Mino Raiola – who manages the affairs of the player and the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mario Balotelli and Romelu Lukaku – describing him as a phenomenal prospect.

The said scholarship contract for the 16-year old will become a professional deal when Malen turns 17. He will now be looking to impress during this spell in order to secure a permanent deal at the club.

Recently, Yaya Sanogo  joined Ajax on a loan basis in order to gain more game time and now the Malen transfer appears to have taken place as part of an existing relationship between the Dutch club and the north Londoners.

The relationship will likely go from strength to strength with Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp working as coach Frank De Boer’s assistant at the Amsterdam-based club, .

Malen will join the likes of Jeff Reine-Adelaide – who has been impressive during pre-season – in the Arsenal U-17 team with the hope of emulating the feats of Bellerin and other Arsenal first team stars who made it from the youth academy.

Meanwhile Ajax have expressed disappointment with Malen for choosing to dump them for Arsenal.

Arsenal’s pre-season form has been fantastic, with the Gunners winning all their four fixtures and scoring 14 and conceding only one goal in the process. The current FA Cup champions have only Petr Cech as their major signing this summer after the goalkeeper joined from arch rivals Chelsea this summer.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has joined Roma on a season-long loan from Arsenal, and the Londoners are reportedly eyeing a move for Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and a bid of £40.5million is being prepared after an initial one was rejected.
