Arsenal’s new scholarship plan has added another feather to its cap with the completion of a deal that brings 16 year old Jordi Emmanuel Osei-Tutu to the Emirates.
Osei-Tutu has expressed his excitement at joining up with the Gunners and expects to make an impact at the club. After 8 years with Reading the lad who can play both at right-back and also as a winger is only too glad to be afforded this opportunity.
On Arsenal’s side the project may be adjudged to be making progress as the club have been able to acquire other budding talents into its ranks. Amongst the recent recruits are Romanian midfielder Vlad Dragomir, Cypriot defender Kostas Pileas and French youngsters Yassin Fortune and Jeff Reine-Adelaide.
Arsenal will just hope that the project is successful enough to produce players that will eventually make it to the senior ranks. With Arsenal famed for giving youngsters the chance to prove themselves few can bet against its success.
Jordi Emmanuel Osei-Tutu will hope to emulate the likes of Theo Walcott and Oxlade Chamberlain who came in as youngsters and are now pivotal to the senior team.
