Done Deal – Arsenal Met With DM Today, Agreed Deal, Announcement Soon

Earlier today, it was report Arsenal chief negotiator Dick Law had flown to Warsaw to try to negotiate a deal that will see Arsenal signing high rated Legia defensive midfielder Krystian Bielik. Bielik who is just 17 years od age was at Arsenal in December to have a trial with Arsenal but the Wenger was said to have baulked at legia’s £2.5 million asking price. Although both clubs did not agree a fee, the player has always been confident and sure of what he wants.

He was quoted to have said;

“I’ve made a decision [to join Arsenal] and I’m not going to change it.

“I am looking forward to an agreement between the heads of the clubs.

Bielik, 17, only joined Legia last July for a nominal fee, he managed to break into the first team within the same period and has attracted a lot of interest from bigger clubs in Europe – including Arsenal and German bundesliga side Hamburg.

According to reports, Arsenal have had two bids turned down by Legia. It is reported that the Polish side are holding out for a fee of about 2.5 million and they want majority of the money paid to them upfront.

Oddly, reports from Poland all Arsenal negotiations with the club have been over email conversations. Although we are in 2015, using email to negotiate a deal for a player seems very informal to me. However, with Law reportedly in Poland, I am now confident Arsenal are able to sign the player.

Update – According to guardian, a deal has now been agreed for the player and he will now be joining Arsenal.
