DONE DEAL – Arsenal OFFICIALLY Completes Transfer Of Midfielder
Arsenal have confirmed that promising attacking midfielder Dan Crowley has been loaned out to League One outfit Barnsley until January.
The 17-year old youth prospect is highly regarded by the coaching staff at Arsenal as he has been showing remarkable promise and improvement in his game. He was the of Arsenal’s Youth side as they competed for honours in the Youth FA Cup. He also excelled in the UEFA Youth League where he scored five goals in seven appearances last term. His undoubted quality earned him promotion as he regularly featured for the Under-21 side.
Crowley signed for Arsenal from Aston Villa as he impressed the scouts with his ability from set pieces, his close control and an eye for a pass. This also led to comparisons with Jack Wilshere.
His future at the Emirates looks bright as he was included in Arsene Wenger’s pre season plans as the gaffer looks to take a closer look at his ability. He featured against a Singapore Select eleven during the teams tour of Singapore.
This loan deal will do wonders to his confidence and help him as he gains valuable first team experience at the third tier of English football. It is hoped that he would become a part of the success story of loan deals that have led to the successful integration of academy graduates into the senior side. Notable success stories include Wilshere, Alex Song and goal keeper Wojiech Szczesny who went out on loan, horned their skills and then went on to become first team regulars.
