Done Deal – Arsenal Target Signs 5 Years Deal, Will Earn £75,000-A-Week

Amid reports of an imminent move to long-time admirers Arsenal, Juventus and Italy midfielder Claudio Marchisio has stunned the Italian media by recently committing his future to the Old Lady, signing a 5-year contract extension at the club.

In a bid to bolster his side ahead of the 2015/2016 EPL season, Arsenal coach Arsenal Wenger has been linked with moves for players like Arturo Vidal, Argentina forward Gonzalo Higuain, and Marchisio, who was recently declared available by his agent.

In almost a decade at Juventus, the 29 year-old midfielder has scored quite a number of important goals in over 300 appearances. He also was an integral part of the near-excellent 2014/2015 squad which reached the finals of last year’s UEFA Champion’s League. Reports state that he had initially been looking to depart the club for a new challenge, and that his father and agent had received a few inquiries into his availability.

Arsenal were close to agreeing a deal with the Old Lady over the player’s transfer; but, following club legend Andrea Pirlo’s departure to America, Juventus are now no longer interested in losing him, and have instead, had him sign a 5-year extension which would see him remain in Italy till the summer of 2020.
