DONE DEAL – Chelsea Target Signs Four Years Deal For Arsenal, To Earn £140,000-A-Week

As reported by BBC, Arsenal pacy winger has agreed a contract extension till 2019, this deal will fetch him a whopping £140,000 per week, which sees him move up the pecking order to the realm of top earners at the Emirates. His contract which is billed to end in the summer of next season drew him and the club’s management to the negotiation table since the November of 2014.

However, an agreement has been reached successfully which will see Walcott jointly become the second most payed Arsenal player. Arsenal have been searching for a top-notch forward but with this agreement reached, we may not see a centre forward coming in to Arsenal.

The England forward missed the most part of the previous season due to an injury he sustained playing against Tottenham in an FA cup match in January, 2014. On his return, he struggled for a place in the team. However, he found his scoring boots at the end of the season as evidenced by the opening goal in the FA cup final against Aston Villa at the wembley stadium and his hat-trick on the final day of league against West Brom.

Walcott, 26, who was signed from Southampton in 2006, is now the longest serving arsenal player. With 50 goals in 208 league appearances for arsenal, he seems to fit in perfectly as an alternative to his physical French team mate, Oliver Giroud. Walcott, who is very composed in front of goal, is speedy and slippery, therefore, will be a handful for defenders.
