Done Deal – Schweinsteiger To Fly To Manchester For Medicals This Weekend

According to breaking news from Germany this evening, Manchester United have completed the signing of Bayern Munich’s Bastian Schweinsteiger. Schweinsteiger who has constantly been linked to a move with Manchester United in the last few weeks is reportedly one of Louis Van Gaal’s main targets this summer for the defensive midfield/box to box role.

The high rated German international has reportedly had a fall out with manager Pep Guardiola and although initial reports claim the club management team was trying to resolve the issue, BILD are reporting the player will be joining Manchester United and a deal for €20 million is done and dusted pending medicals.

According to the report, United has already agreed personal terms with the player. Should the report be true, United would finally have a world class competition/back up for Michael Carrick. Many who watched Manchester United’s matches last season will attest to the fact that the red devils struggled each time Carrick is not playing.

Schweinsteiger is not only able to play the defensive midfield role but as well as on the wings and the box to box role when necessary. His signing will be a massive statement of intent for United.
