DOUBLE DEAL DONE: Wenger to ANNOUNCE Two New Players Within 48hrs, Deal Worth £52m, Not Elneny
Arsenal are ready to invest almost £52million on Granit Xhaka and Adrien Rabiot according to Mirror. The Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder, Xhaka has a £37 million price tag while the Paris Saint-Germain player Rabiot will cost Arsene Wenger about £20 million.
The Gunners have sparked their interest in these two players after Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stated he does not want to join Arsenal. Wenger was ready to splash about £42 million on the Gabonese but might use the funds to bring two players to London.
According to Independent, Xhaka’s mother has been in talks with the Gunners for a potential move to the Premier League. Liverpool and Tottenham has also expressed interest in wanting the Swiss.
Wenger has also revealed that Arsenal is ready to announce their first signing of January window, in the next 24 to 48 hours. It is Mohamed Elneny who has completed the move to the Emirates but is yet to be officially announced by the club.
In a post-match interview of the FA Cup third round, Arsene Wenger said, ‘We hope to announce a player in the next 24 to 48 hours. I don’t need to tell you the name. After that we will see [about other deals].’
