Debuchy Leaving Arsenal

Double Deal to Be Announced Within Days for Arsenal

Mathieu Debuchy might be heading to Aston Villa after finally giving up hope on his chances at Arsenal.

Second-choice goalkeeper David Ospina, who has similarly found himself sitting on the bench more, rather than guarding the goalpost for the Gunners, would also leave the club. The Columbia international joined Arsenal in 2014, but instantly lost his place to Peter Cech this season.

However, Arsehttps://twitter.com/DeadlineDayLive/status/687446287067688960ne Wenger has refused to entertain any possibilities of the 27-year-old leaving the club, and insists that the goalkeeper could be vital at Arsenal. According to Sky Sports, Arsene Wenger shed some light on the matter earlier this month. He said, ‘I think he can be the goalkeeper of the future here as well. With Petr Cech getting older year after year, he may get more games as well.’

So far, Peter Cech continues to be Wenger’s number one choice, and there haven’t been much chances for Ospina so far considering Cech has been exceptional for the Gunners this season.
