€25m Bid Made For Geoffrey Kondogbia, Wenger Already Spoken To Player

According to reports, Milan director Galliani has had dinner with AS Monaco’s Geoffrey Kondogbia. Although the outcoming of their discussion during the said dinner is not known to anyone, reports are claiming Milan are now prepared to offer €25m for the player.

Few days ago news emerged that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been talking to the player with a view of bringing him to England to play for the gunners. However, with Inter Milan and AC Milan reported interested in him, it remains to be seen if Wenger will pursue the interest further.

Arsenal are obviously in the market for a defensive midfielder signing and have been linked to many players in that role but Arsenal fans fear Wenger will not want to be engaged in a bidding war with the Milan clubs especially now that AC Milan have a new co owner who seems ready to burn some cash.

However, considering €25m is just about 18 million, it will not be too surprising if Wenger is willing to match that price in order to get his man. And to be honest, Wenger has a good chance of signing him especially considering the fact that none of the two other clubs interested in the player have champions league football to offer but Arsenal does.

However, if Milan or someone else increases their price, Wenger may well pull out.
