Ed Woodward CONFIRMS Manchester United Will Make More Signings
After signing Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin in the last couple of days (except Memphis Depay, who was signed as early as April); it appears the Red Devils are not done with their transfer business this window.
According to Ed Woodward, the club is set to bring in more players as they look to compete for the league title next season.
Goal.com reports that the Red Devils are hoping to secure two more signings before the end of the window. With the departure of two strikers; Robin Van Persie and Radamel Falcao, the club is looking to bring in a world class striker before the window closes by the end of next month.
âThe sooner the better,â Woodward told MUTV. âBecause it means Louis can start blending them into the team and getting them used to the training, get used to their colleagues.
âWeâll see, with transfers, everyone wants to know whatâs going to happen, who youâre talking to. The reality is weâve been successful in bringing in four, which is fantastic, to the extent others come, itâs up to Louis.
âWeâll continue to assess whatâs out there and assess the squad weâve got and think about the upcoming season, where weâre obviously going to have more games than last year. Weâll see.âWoodwardâs reputation among United fans has soared in recent weeks due to the impressive deals he has clinched. But outgoings are also possible, with winger Angel Di Maria, 27, heavily linked with a move to either PSG or Bayern Munich (Goal).
