Ed Woodward Forced to Finish Deal for Brazilian Superstar by Chief Scout This Week, £35m Offered

Rumours linking Man Utd with Lazio star Felipe Anderson have again resurfaced. Serie A club recently confirmed that United tried to sign the Brazilian in the summer transfer window, but their approach was turned down.

Now, latest reports are claiming that United’s chief scout Marcel Bout is pursuing Ed Woodward finalize a deal for the Brazilian.

Bout is said to have scouted Anderson on a number of occasions this season, and he strongly feels that the player can provide a much needed attacking spark to the Louis Van Gaal’s side.

Meanwhile, Lazio’s head coach Stefano Pioli has revealed that he is not aware of any development regarding Anderson’s future.

He said: “Any answer I give will be interpreted. All I know is the club has not told me anything, Felipe Anderson is working to find his best form.

“There’s no news, but I coach the squad and do not control transfers.”

The 22-year old attacking midfielder has scored five goals in 21 league appearances for the Serie A club this season.

He is valued at £35 million by his club.
