New Manchester United signing Anthony Martial has found himself a new mentor in the form of former Manchester United player Patrice Evra, as he looks to adjust to life in Manchester. Just like Martial, the Juventus full-back made a move from Monaco to Manchester United while also playing for Les Ullis as a youth which Martial also played for too.
Patrice Evra is believed to be offering Martial advice as well as assistance in order to have a successful career at Old Trafford. According to reports, Evra has wasted no time in helping Martial settle at Manchester United after he invited the 19 year old for lunch and advised him to take English classes.
The 34 year old was an important part of the Red Devil’s team under Sir Alex Ferguson and went on to amass a total of 14 major trophies as well as being selected as a captain in the closing stages of his career at United. As far as mentorship and guidance in the France squad goes, there is no one better than Patrice Evra to be a mentor to Anthony Martial.
The 34 year old had a very successful stint at Manchester United and left the club regarded as a hero. Anthony Martial will be looking to surpass Evra achievements at Manchester United and maybe one day don the captain’s armband. However, for now the 19 year old faces a lot of pressure to succeed at Manchester United due to his enormous price tag.
