Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp

Exclusive: Liverpool send scouts to watch this PSG megastar

Javier Pastore has been touted for a possible move to the Premier League this season, as top teams in England take a look at their attacking options for the next season. Pastore is understood to be frustrated with the lack of opportunities at PSG and looking to end his career in the French capital.

With that in mind, Liverpool have sent their top scout, Kevin Hunt, on a mission to Paris to keep tabs on the PSG playmaker. Hunt will be watching Pastore and trying to make an assessment as tro whether the player would fit in well at Anfield.

Pastore has been at PSG for 5 years now, but struggled with injuries early on and became a very expensive fringe player. Angel Di Maria turning up didn’t help his chances of getting into the first team. Pastore has been capped by Argentina 27 times, which shows the player has class and potential to be an outstanding player in the right circumstances.

French media outlet, France Football, suggest that Hunt is in the final stages of delivering his assessment to Klopp who will make the ultimate decision on whether or not a bid is made. Chelsea are also understood to be extremely interested in the player.

Klopp has been linked with a number of players lately, mostly coming from his native Germany, with Gotze and Gundogan both lauded. It does look as though Klopp is gearing up for a busy transfer window and Pastore also looks set to be on the move.
