Famous Spurs Fans – Well Known Celebrities That Support Tottenham Hotspur

It is fair to say that Tottenham Hotspur face some stern challenges when it comes to winning over supporters, with both Arsenal and Chelsea also existing in London, to say nothing of some of the smaller teams such as Crystal Palace and Watford. In spite of this, the club has been more than able to win over some well-known names, who have spent time heading to both White Hart Lane and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the years in order to prove their love of the club.

Here is a look at some of them, with the list obviously being far from exhaustive:

Adele

If you wanted to be particularly cruel, you could suggest that the reason Adele has been able to write so many songs about heartbreak over the years is down to the fact that she has been a lifelong Tottenham Hotspur supporter. The singer herself might suggest that it’s given her the ability to bounce back.

Having grown up in North London, the Skyfall singer was offered a chance to perform there in 2025, whilst readily admitting that she tries to see every match that she can, even if only on television. Fans might well have the chance to say Hello to her on one of her rare visits to the home ground for a game.

Tom Holland

Having been born in London, it makes sense that Spider-Man star Tom Holland would choose to support a team from the capital. It was as he grew older that he began to follow the club more fervently, really getting into following Spurs in the wake of the club’s march to the Champions League final back in 2019.

Although they ultimately lost to Liverpool, the Kingston-upon-Thames-born movie star has worked hard to watch as many matches as possible, regardless of the circumstances. So it was that he was actually on the set of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey when Spurs won the Europa League in 2025.

Michael McIntyre

Cue Arsenal supporters saying ‘you’ve got to have a sense of humour to follow Tottenham’ and people that don’t particularly like the funnyman suggesting that Spurs are regularly funnier than Michael McIntyre. Even so, the comedian began following Spurs in 1987, in spite of the fact that his family didn’t follow football.

He had seen a prediction on Grandstand about Tottenham, choosing to follow them from that point on. Nowadays, he can regularly be seen at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as well as appearing on the club’s own media channels, wearing a suit because he sits in the posh seats, which means he can’t get angry.

Jude Law

Jude Law, star of films such as The Holiday, A.I. Artificial Intelligence and Captain Marvel, was once asked whether he found it more stressful to act on stage or support Tottenham, to which he responded, “Oh, supporting Spurs, undoubtedly!” That probably tells you a lot about his level of investment in the club.

Born in Lewisham in South London, the philanthropist, activist and generally all-round good guy began supporting Tottenham because his grandfather, Eric, followed the club. He has been a fan since 1981, celebrating some big moments in the club’s history as well as mourning some terrible defeats.

Emma Raducanu

When Emma Raducanu won the US Open in 2021, aged just 18, many thought she would be the next big thing in women’s tennis. Although she became the first ever qualifier to win a major title, not dropping a set in the competition, she has flattered to deceive since, which is perhaps why she feels such an affinity to Spurs.

Although born in Canada, her family moved to England when she was a two-year-old, becoming a fan of Tottenham Hotspur because she loved watching Harry Kane play. In 2022, she wore a Spurs jersey to a practice session in Stuttgart, very much confirming her love of the Lilywhites.

Alan Sugar

Better known nowadays as the host of The Apprentice on the BBC, the man who was elevated to the House of Lords by the Labour Party in 2009 was born in Hackney in 1947. How many times the Tottenham Hotspur hierarchy would have loved to get him to deliver his famous catchphrase of ‘You’re fired’ to an underperforming manager.

At the start of the 1990s, Sugar engaged in a takeover battle for his beloved club with Robert Maxwell, eventually teaming up with Terry Venables, the Spurs manager at the time, to complete the takeover. Although he sold his majority stake in 2001, he has always been a fan of the football club.

JK Rowling

You would be forgiven for thinking that JK Rowling is too busy punching down on trans people to follow football, but the Harry Potter author manages to find time to do both. She grew up with a Tottenham Hotspur-supporting father, so it was somewhat inevitable that she’d have a soft spot for the Lillywhites.

Interestingly, the only football club that gets mentioned in any of the Potter books is West Ham United, which is reportedly due to her friend Troy being a fan of the Hammers. The author herself admits that she’s not someone who gets upset when Spurs lose or anything, but she does consider herself to be a fan.

Nick Kyrgios

Nick Kyrgios is widely considered to be the craziest of the male tennis players, so it is perhaps entirely fitting that the football team that he follows is Tottenham Hotspur. He made headlines in 2017 when he arrived at Wimbledon in a Spurs shirt, much like Emma Raducanu, finding an interesting way to develop his love of the team.

During the Emmanuel Adebayor era, Kyrgios enjoyed playing as Spurs when he was on FIFA, loving the notion of following an outsider much like himself. Much like Tottenham in 2019, Kyrgios lost his big final when he made it there, being defeated by Novak Djokovic at the All England Club in 2022.

Antony Costa

Born in Barnet in 1981, Antony Costa became famous thanks to the fact that he was one of the members of the band Blue. You might well ask why he didn’t support Chelsea, given the band’s name, but the singer-songwriter and one-time stage actor is a season ticket holder at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

His birth came just a month after the Lilywhites won the FA Cup, joining a Spurs-supporting family that left him with little choice as to the club that he was going to follow. He first went to watch the club he loves for Ossie Ardiles’ testimonial match, but has since been along to watch more games than he cares to remember.

Dave Bautista

If you want to name a Spurs fan whose love of the club might well be a touch more ‘fair-weather’ than others, you need look no further than actor and retired professional wrestler Dave Bautista. Having risen to fame as part of the WWF, before it had rebranded to become the WWE, he then turned his hand to acting.

It was whilst sitting in the makeup chair for his role as Drax in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Guardians of the Galaxy that he was co-opted into following the North London club. His makeup artist was speaking to him about football and he said that he didn’t have a team, they said, “You do now”, so he’s followed them ever since.

Chas & Dave

Although Chas Hodges died in 2018, Dave Peacock continued to carry on in the name of his partner for many years. The pair of Spurs supporters began a musical association with the Lillywhites in 1981 when they were asked by the club’s manager at the time, Bob England, to write a song for their FA Cup run.

They came up with Ossie’s Dream/Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur, then a year later were responsible for Tottenham, Tottenham as the club made it the final again, winning both. Five years later, Spurs were back at Wembley, so Chas and Dave recorded Hot Shot Tottenham!, as well as 1991’s When the Year Ends in One and The Victory Song (We’re Off To Wembley ‘Cos We Beat The Arsenal) the same year.
