Finally A DM? Arsenal Set To Trigger Release Clause Of POWERFUL 6ft 1″ DM
Europa League winners, Sevilla are concerned that Arsenal would activate the release clause of their star midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak before the end of the transfer window according to Marca Sevilla.
Sevilla are increasingly worried at the prospect of losing the services of their Polish midfielder after it emerged that Arsenal have turned their attentions to him after missing out on their initial targets Morgan Schneiderlin who has signed for Manchester United and Geoffrey Kondogbia who has moved to Serie A side Inter Milan as per the Metro.
The 25-year old has a release clause of £21.4 million in his present contract and Arsenal are said to be preparing to meet it. The Polish international has gone on to be a vital clog in an efficient Sevilla team who have won the UEFA Europa League back to back. Having signed from French Ligue 1 side Stade Reims who he joined while they still played in the French Championat.
Krychowiak was the only Sevilla player to feature in the La Liga Team of the Season last year having made 32 appearances in La Liga. He is a bullish, combative and no nonsense midfielder who would add some much needed steel to Arsenal’s silky midfield. An attribute they have sorely missed since the departure of former captain and club legend Patrick Viera.
Krychowiak averaged six defensive actions per game, completed 67% of his take ons and was successful in 71% of his headed duels last season.
