Jason Burt of the Telegraph had a mini question and answer session with fans on Friday where he implored football fans to ask questions and he would provide them with answers.
Burt who appears thoroughly nice kept to his word as he was subjected to a barrage of questions. After filtering through questions meant to be insulting, mischevous and some that bordered on encrouching on his privacy, he settled to the business of the day. Arsenal fans who had been eagerly anticipating movement this summer transfer window only have Petr Cech who solved a very important need. The lack of news or substance concerning outfield players have left supporters edgy and wondering if boss Arsene Wenger has some secrets up his sleeve.
An Arsenal supporter asked, ” do you see any incoming signings for Arsenal? Benzema? Cavani? Krychowiak?
Burt didn’t hesitate to give a straight answer as he affirmed “Krychowiak”.
The Polish defensive midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak who is contracted to Europa League winners Sevilla has been on the rader of Arsenal for a while as he is seen as a player who will complement Francis Coquelin in midfield and provide some much needed steel and combativeness in the middle of the park for the Gunners.
The 25-year old enjoyed an impressive domestic league campaign for Sevilla as he was voted the best defensive midfielder in La Liga. He has a buy out clause of €30 miilion, one that the Gunners can easily afford to activate.
