The deputy football correspondent of the Telegraph, Jason Burt , has exhumed the transfer news of Sevilla’s defensive Midfielder Krychowiak to Arsenal . When probed by one of his followers on social media platform, he said that the player could be in line for a move to the Emirates.
The Gunners have been under pressure to make new signing as they have only been able to sign a goalkeeper. There have been calls by pundits and fans for Arsene Wenger to bolster his squad, especially in the centre forward and defensive midfield positions.
He was asked on Twitter by an Arsenal fan with twitter handle @TheSwegooner
“@Jburttelegraph do you see any any signings for Arsenal? Benzema?Cavani?Krychowia?
And he responded that:
The Gunners defensive midfielder, Francis Coquelin, was very poor in their first outing of this season and was lucky not to be sent off in the following match at Selhurst Park with his untimely tackles, where he was withdrawn at second half.
Krychowiak, 25, is one of the mainstays of the Sevilla, he helped them to successfully defend the Europa league last term. But he’s been in the radar of Arsenal following his decent performances for club. He won 52% duels and averaged 81% pass accuracy with six defensive actions per game in the La Liga. He can also play as a centre back.
