Finally a Striker – 13 Goals in 16 Games Sensational Striker Reportedly Moving to Old Trafford

Man Utd are targeting a move for Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani, according to the reports. The Red Devils have struggled to score goals this season, and manager Louis Van Gaal aims to add more firepower to his squad.

The Sun reports that the Dutchman has identified the Algerian sensation to bolster his front line. Van Gaal has had his scouts watching the 27-year old for past two months, and he is left impressed by the striker’s form this season.

Slimani has scored 13 goals in 16 league games this season for the Portuguese club. He also impressed for the Algerian national team in the World Cup as he scored two goals for his team.

The Red Devils will compete with the likes of West Ham and Leicester City for the signature of the striker.

The Foxes’ boss Claudio Ranieri hopes to use the influence of Slimani’s national teammate Riyad Mahrez to convince Slimani to come to King Power Stadium.

The Red Devils are expected to make a £12million bid for the player in the coming days.
