Finally A Striker!!! Manchester United Set To Complete £32.8m Attacker Signing

Manchester United are looking to bring in one or two forwards to the team, with the transfer window deadline beckoning.

The Red Devils will aim to push through a £32.8m move for Lazio attacker Felipe Anderson, after the Serie A club failed to qualify for this season Champions League, according to the Metro. The Italian outfit finished third in the Serie A last season and subsequently qualified for the Champions League qualifying tie, but they lost to Bayer Leverkusen in the play-off.

As a result, Lazio may need to cash in on the Brazilian ace as they will be in need of funds, with Sky Italia now claiming United are plotting a late swoop for Anderson before the transfer window slams shut next Tuesday.

The former Santos star is one of the Italian top division’s most exciting players over the past 12 months and he led Lazio to a third-place finish in the Serie A last season.

United had an £18m offer for Anderson rejected by Lazio 12 months ago and, the Brazilian international’s price-tag would have increased significantly over the past few months. United have now returned to Lazio with an improved offer before the transfer window slams shut next week.

Creative, fast, hardworking and intelligent, the winger can play as a No.10 or forward. The 22-year old scored 10 goals and recorded 11 assists to help Stefan Pioli’s side last season.

Meanwhile, Man United sanctioned the sale of defender Johnny Evans to West Bromwich Albion yesterday. The left-footed Irishman joined the Baggies in an £8m move after falling out of favour at Old Trafford, with Louis van Gaal opting for midfielder Daley Blind as Chris Smalling’s centre-back partner in all of the Red Devils’ games this season.
