Lazio’s elimination from the UEFA Champions League has handed Manchester United a massive boost in their pursuit of the clubs Brazilian attacker, Felipe Anderson as the club look to sell their biggest stars to balance the books according to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via The Express).

Having been knocked out by German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen 3-1 on aggregate, the club is looking to sell some of their most valuable assets to balance the clubs finances after missing out on the financial windfall participating in UEFA’s elite club competition brings.

One of their prized assets that has been linked with an exit from the capital club is 22-year old Brazillian Under-21 international, Felipe Anderson. The attacking midfielder had caught the eye of Mancheste United scouts with the Old Trafford club allegedly involved in negotiations early in the summer for the player but the unwillingness of Lazio forced them to look at other targets.

However, TuttoMercatoWeb claim that the Serie A club is open to negotiating deals for Felipe Anderson and defensive midfielder Lucas Biglia. With this revelation, the Old Trafford club are set to return for the player as his club would be open to deal this time.

Anderson scored 10 goals and provided 7 assists for his team mates in 23 Seria A appearances as he helped the club to a top three finish in the league.
