Fabregas Responds to Mourinho

First January signing revealed, club to announce new world class midfielder before January one

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has failed to replicate his form of last season and has been one of the most disappointing figures in Jose Mourinho’s struggling squad. Now, the Portuguese manager is looking to replace the Spaniard and if reports are to be believed he has already found one and that player is PSG star Marco Verratti.

Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo reports that the London club have already submitted a bid for the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder. According to the report, Mourinho is interested in bringing the 23-year old, who is regarded as one of the best midfielders in world football, to Stamford Bridge.

The Paris club might be willing to sell their star to fund their move for Juventus target Paul Pogba. However, Verratti would prefer a move to one of the Spanish giants instead of moving to Premier League. Recently Barcelona legend Xavi claimed that the Italian would suit to Barcelona style of play. “I really like Verratti,” Xavi told French TV show Canal Football Club.

“I like watching him play. I like his vision of the game, his passing game. He almost never loses the ball. “He’s a player of exceptional ability. He would adapt perfectly if he was playing at Barcelona.”
